CHAUNTEā LOWEĀ is the story of determination, perseverance, and strength. Not only is Lowe a mother of three, a wife, and a finance professional, but she is also a professional athlete, an American Record Holder, a four-time Olympian, a three-time World Championship medalist, and a 12-time U.S. National Champion. This four-time Olympianās impressive journey began as a sophomore at Georgia Tech, when she made her first Olympic appearance. Her ambition both on the field and in the classroom demonstrated an unparalleled drive, even among the Instituteās top student-athletes.
Chaunte is a world champion who has broken the American record three times and is the current American record holder in both indoor and outdoor high jump. Sheās competed in four Olympic Games and aspired to add a fifth to her remarkable career.
Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Chaunte has used her personal experiences to raise awareness for breast cancer research, early detection, and eradication. In 2019, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Despite the diagnosis, she continued to train through surgeries and chemotherapy, staying competitive for the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Throughout this time, she remained determined to use her platform to bring attention to breast cancer. āThe best gift I can give with my life is helping others find beauty in their own lives,ā she says.
