Rally Your Resilience
Jim Davidson is a climber, author, and international speaker whose lessons in resilience are drawn from a lifetime of mountain adventures and life-or-death rescues. Having scaled peaks across the United States and led high-altitude expeditions to places like Alaska, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Nepal, and Tibet, Jim’s career as a mountaineer spans more than three decades. He has summited Cho Oyu, the sixth-highest peak in the world at 26,906 feet, and has led numerous challenging expeditions.
Jim is an expert in resilience, having faced—and overcome—some of the most extreme conditions nature has to offer. His incredible survival story, which highlights his ability to persevere under the harshest of circumstances, was featured in the “Killer Crevasse” episode of I Shouldn’t Be Alive (2011), which regularly airs on Animal Planet and the Discovery Network.
In addition to his mountaineering expertise, Jim is the co-author of The Ledge: An Adventure Story of Friendship and Survival on Mount Rainier (2011, Random House/Ballantine Books), which recounts his dramatic survival after a deadly fall on Mount Rainier.
Blending his two decades of success in environmental consulting with his mountaineering experiences, Jim delivers powerful messages about resilience, teamwork, and the drive to overcome adversity. His uplifting talks inspire organizations and professional audiences to reach the summits in their own lives, both personally and professionally.
