Michelle Gielan is a bestselling author and one of the Top 10 authors on resilience as named by the Harvard Business Review. She is the founder of the Institute for Applied Positive Research and holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Michelle's groundbreaking work is centered on the science of positive change. She is the author of Broadcasting Happiness: The Science of Igniting and Sustaining Positive Change, a book that has been widely acclaimed for its innovative approach to leveraging positivity in both personal and professional settings.
In addition to her writing, Michelle is an Executive Producer of the PBS special The Happiness Advantage, and she serves as a featured professor in Oprah’s Happiness Course, where she shares insights on happiness and resilience with a global audience.
Prior to her work in positive psychology, Michelle served as the anchor of The CBS Morning News, where she witnessed firsthand the impact of media on mindset and behavior.
