Steve Sax
Motivational and Inspirational Speaker
Steve Sax is a former MLB All-Star and National League Rookie of the Year (1982) whose 18-year baseball career left an indelible mark. Known for his intensity and toughness, Steve played second base with the Los Angeles Dodgers, contributing to two World Series victories. He later played for the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, and Oakland A’s before retiring in 1994.
After baseball, Steve transitioned to broadcasting, offering expert commentary on ESPN and Fox Sports Prime Time. He also became a media personality, appearing on shows like Good Morning America, Howard Stern, and Late Night with David Letterman. Steve’s insights on personal responsibility were published in the Wall Street Journal and praised by the President of the United States.
Born in Sacramento, CA in 1960, Steve grew up in a competitive family of five siblings. A skilled athlete, he holds black belts in Shotokan karate and kickboxing. After baseball, Steve applied his drive and leadership to the financial sector, serving as Vice President of Investments at Royal Bank of Canada and later authoring Shift, a motivational book endorsed by Donald Trump.
Steve returned to baseball in 2013 as first base coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks and is an active member of the National Speakers Association. He has two children, Lauren and John.
